Why mini sessions are a good idea!
I’ve been doing mini sessions since I began this business, and they are SO much fun! The purpose of a mini session, if you’ve never booked one, is to get quick family photos, typically around fall and the Christmas season for Christmas cards.
This year, I’m doing three different mini session themes; Shaver Lake Meadow, Christmas Cookies & Christmas Trees! In the past, I didn’t do fun themes, so I’m excited to be offering some fun themes for my clients and their families.
So, is a mini session right for you?
They’re short and sweet!
Mini sessions are just that; a MINI session! Sometimes mini sessions are 15 minutes, sometimes it’s 30, depending on the photographer. It’s a quick little session to capture moments with your loved ones! It’s also great if your husband is anything like mine and hates taking photos. Since they’re short, you only need a few minutes of smiles and hugs, and then you can take him out to dinner. At least, that’s how I bribe my husband!
You can hire a professional photographer at a discounted rate.
My mini sessions are designed to be short and sweet, but I still treat every client like they’re paying full price. We will go through the session, and I’ll work with your entire family to capture the same authentic moments in a shorter time frame. And since they’re mini, they’re typically cheaper than a full session.
You get fun locations!
I listed my themes for this year earlier, but I am so excited for the fun themes! Because I’m taking multiple clients on a single day, I’m able to invest more into your session and create great backdrops and choose fun locations for your session.
Mini sessions are perfect for little ones.
I’ve had lots of sessions with little ones, and sometimes they are just dog tired and don’t want to smile for the camera. You just have to roll with it, especially with little ones. So, mini sessions are a perfect opportunity to capture those fun, family photos without having to keep your little ones entertained for an hour long shoot.
