Grants Grove in Kings Canyon National Park was an amazing location for a winter engagement session with Brendan and Liz!!
Thanks to mother nature, there was snow on the ground making this engagement session really magical. There are tons of trails all throughout the park and it’d where they got engaged. So perfect to come back here to capture these photos for them.
Liz had never been to the park, so Brendan planned a day trip for them. They were going to hike the trail to the Lincoln Tree which was special to Brendan since we was on duty to protect this tree during some of the California wildfires. Looking back, Liz knows now why he was a bit nervous and in a rush to get to this tree, but she was a good sport and thankfully, had no idea what Brendan was planning.
And it’s no surprise she said yes! It’s always fun to photograph couples on their journey to the altar, and Brendan and Liz were no exception! We had a blast even if it required a lot of steps (shoutout to my apple watch) and me falling on my butt a few times and getting stuck in snow up to my knees.
I loved that they chose a stylish casual outfit option and a dressy outfit! You can’t even tell that Liz is totally rocking the snow boots beneath this stunning dress from Lulu’s! A good maxi dress is my favorite fashion statement for engagement photos. It’s classy and honestly there are so many styles they’re perfect for all shapes and sizes. Add a fiance in a classy suit, some snow and we’ve got a recipe for magiiiiiical photos!!!
