Prime Day is like Christmas for photographers because theres tons of great deals on gear you need to keep your business running smoothly! Everything posted here is something that I actually own, actually use and actually would recommend to a friend. I never recommend or share affiliate links to products I wouldn’t endorse myself. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite PRIME DAY STEALS!
SD Cards are a MUST and they are a Prime Day steal!
Because you should NEVER be shooting over another clients session until those images are delivered to the client. They should also be backed up which is why I have 4 copies of my clients photos until they are delivered. There’s the SD cards (yes plural because I keep BOTH cards from a session), then there’s my external hard drive (linked next) where the images live for editing. And finally, the final edits are uploaded to my large external hard drive.
I’ve used a few different hard drives and the LaCie Drive and my G-Drive Rugged are my favs.
The LaCie is a HUGE Prime Day deal but I’ll also link the G-Drive Rugged below because it’s a few bucks off regular price too! I think the G-Drive is a smidge faster at processing than the LaCie personally but it’s also good to mix things up and not stay married to a specific brand because they all have their pros and cons. I use both and this current season I am using the LaCie Drive.
This bead box is how I organize my SD cards and keep them safe until they’re delivered to the client. I put a sticky note in each slot with the session name and this box stays locked in our fire proof safe. This way I never accidentally delete a clients session or lose their images. I’ve never lost a clients images and because I have a system in place to keep things secure I’ve minimized the risk of image loss.
This JBL speaker is super handy because it clips to my bag or backpack or belt loops. It’s also waterproof and perfect for on the go sessions. They also have tons of colors so if you want your speaker to be on brand with your vibes, they have a color for you!
I love bringing music to sessions so clients can jam out and this speaker also hides perfectly in tall grass and weeds so the clients can hear the music and I don’t have to edit it out of photos later!
Speaking of jamming out these Air Pods are a MUST for me when I’m editing and are a Prime Day Deal!
Honestly I have my airpods in 90% of my work day. They’re marked WAY DOWN for Prime Day so snag them!!
This is another staple in my office and editing space; I have to have my laptop stand. It’s ergonomic so my screen is at a good height for those long hours culling and editing. It’s got a decent markdown for Prime Day and it’s one of the less expensive items linked in this post.
I will not go to an outdoor session without these babies. Especially 2023 California summer; we got so much rain and had so much water this year I feel like the mosquitos are OUT OF CONTROL. I wear one on my wrist and one on my ankle. They last about 24 hours of wear time so I put them back in their airtight bag when I’m not using it. They smell amazing and are free of harmful chemicals which is something that’s very important to me. This is a Prime Day must for anyone who hates being bitten by mosquitos so this is not photographer exclusive.
And finally, the MAG MOD is THE BEST for flash photography. I use these to diffuse direct flash and create that trendy flash look without blinding my clients.
