Colorful weddings are my jam! I love me a good color palette! Colors can really showcase your personalities when it comes to your wedding. For example, Christmas is my favorite holiday, and when Trevor and I were looking at available dates, we chose December for two reasons; the weather and Christmas!
Adding in some fresh or dried colorful citrus fruits can add some life to your table settings. Think pomegranates, grapefruit, blood oranges, lemons and limes! A colorful wedding is so much fun because they allow you the freedom to think outside the box and incorporate so many fun details!
We are big fans of color and a pretty, colorful wedding, but we also love a good black and white photo.
With black and whites, the emotion they evoke really shines because you aren’t able to visually see any other colors. It can draw you into the images in ways color photos can’t, and we love that! What’s great about black and white photos is that they really do evoke more of an emotional feel, and that is what helps us as photographers tell your story through photographs. We love helping create and capture those authentic feelings, and we love being able to give you images that reflect that love and emotion.
It’s always been important to us to capture moments that feel authentic. Wedding photos are the images you’re going to show your children and grandchildren someday. What kind of legacy do you want to leave them with?
I think about photos I have of my grandparents at their weddings; they look so young and full of life, but the style then was so posed. I only knew my grandparents as my grandparents, so I never got to see that young love. Photographs are the closest window into that time of their lives.
How special will it be for you to one day give your children and grandchildren photos of you and your love that showcase that authentic, real, candid love?
As wedding photographers, our job is to capture that legacy of love, because that is what you’re going to pass down for generations. You’ll be able to actually see the love, hear the laughter and feel the joy because we were there to inspire real moments and photograph it for you. This is by far our favorite part of being wedding photographers!
