Overcast whether is commonly mistaken for bad photo whether, and Samuel and Kylie’s wedding day is here to PROVE US WRONG!
Wolf Lakes Park (as we’ve said before) is one of our favorite Fresno Wedding Venues to photograph weddings.
The Gleason’s were married at Wolf Lakes Park (again) after COVID ruined their initial plans for a May wedding, they said f*ck it and got married anyways. And so they planned the most amazing rona wedding ever at one of our favorite local wedding venues!

We love first looks, but this one takes the cake!
The FedEx delivery guy came walking up just as we were about to do the first look and we all had to laugh! Plus I think it helped calm the nerves a bit before the big reveal. And Sam would definitely agree Kylie was WORTH! THE!! WAIT!!!
Yup, gotta laugh about the FedEx deliveries and first looks! Honestly first looks are some of my favorite moments of the day. I get the one on one time with my couple to get some amazing photos and really it’s some of the only time they have to be alone on their wedding day celebrations. Of course we love the party time too, and we also love being able to not only give our couples that time together, but actually create real memories with them rather than just rushing through a bunch of poses.
As we like to say, “Pose is a 4 letter word at MHP”
I also really love the symmetry that this driveway at Wolf Lakes Park offers! It creates really stunning framing in the images we can create because it’s so damn perfect. And even on this overcast day we were able to create STUNNING photos here.
Oftentimes we hear clients say they’re bummed that it ended up being overcast the day of their wedding or session but we dig it!
Overcast wedding weather offers perfectly diffused lighting for photos.
This means no crazy shadows, harsh light or spotty light around taller trees. It really is amazing just how lovely overcast wedding days can be!
This cake cutting was by far the cutest and most epic cake cutting I’ve ever witnessed!
Another awesome thing about overcast wedding days is the incredible sunsets! These clouds were perfectly painted for one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever photographed!

I am so glad you finally got to have your big wedding celebration, and even more grateful to have been there to photograph all the amazing moments. MHP is wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, and I know that there will be many more memories with me and my camera. I truly cannot wait! So much love!
