When Stephanie arrived at their session, Kaitlin told her they’d need A LOT of direction with poses because they’re awkward. I think it’s safe to say they are definitely NOT awkward! Haha!! Gorgeous couple, amazing location and a great photographer make for some really beautiful engagement photos!!

One of my favorite aspects of this session is all the greenery of this location. Tall oak trees and lush ground foliage are a wonderful back drop for spring engagement photos! They also chose great outfits that photographed really well. We always suggest to our couples to choose something neutral so that YOU (aka our amazing clients) really POP.
Colors and patterns can also be fun or photos! Just be careful not to mix and match loud patterns. Here you can see Brandon has the same outfit; khakis and a white button down. His outfit goes perfectly with Kaitlin’s two dresses. The blue being a bit more on the muted side and then a gorgeous pink floral dress that really POPS in the green wheat fields!
We also recommend getting your hair and makeup done for your spring engagement photos.
It’s a great opportunity for a hair and makeup trial. You get to see how your makeup will photograph while also getting that confidence boost of feeling really fabulous!
Since 2020 was a slower year for wedding photography, Stephanie and I invested in our education.
We studied posing, learned new editing techniques and refined our client experience so that our #MHPWeddings couples always receive the best from us! I have to say, I am blown away at how much Stephanie has grown as a photographer. It’s so fun to watch her continue to hone her craft and deliver stunning engagement photos to our amazing couples.
